Before you jump in

You're about to be connected by voice to a random stranger. A few ground rules:

You must be 18 or older.
No harassment, hate speech, or illegal content — you can Report or Block anyone, instantly, mid-call.
Conversations are peer-to-peer — this site never records or stores your audio.
Reported users are logged and may be permanently banned.

Talk to strangers online, free

Strangr pairs you with a random stranger for a live voice or text conversation — no account, no download, nothing to install. Open the site, pick voice or text, and you're in a call within seconds. It's the same idea Omegle popularized, rebuilt from scratch with real safety tools and no wait for a webcam that never connects.

How matching works

Voice or text-only — pick per call; text mode never asks for microphone access.
Interest tags — flag a few topics (music, gaming, tech, travel...) and get preferred to someone who shares one.
Country filter — match only within a specific country when you're looking for a native speaker or a local conversation.
Gender filter (Premium) — choose to be matched with a specific gender for 7 days. Free accounts still set their own gender before every call; this filter is the one thing that's paid.

Safety, actually built in

Every call has a one-tap Report and Block — reporting ends the call immediately and blocks that person from ever being matched with you again. Audio never touches our server: calls connect browser-to-browser (WebRTC), so there's nothing to record even if we wanted to. You need to be 18 or older to use the site.

Free vs. account

You can talk to strangers on Strangr with zero signup. Creating a free account additionally unlocks a friends list, direct messages with people you've met, and a call history with a one-click "reconnect" if someone you talked to is online again.
